Three Legendary Production Designers to become Inducted Into ADG Hall of Fame

Legendary production designersRobert Boyle,William DarlingandAlfred Jungewill be awarded with a Art Company directors Guild Hall of Fame in the Guild's 16th Annual Excellence in Production Design Honours ceremony, Feb 4 in the Beverly Hilton Hotel. "Their creative legacy is constantly on the inspire and challenge all individuals who've selected the skill of production design his or her profession which is appropriate that people recognition their memory through their induction in to the ADG Hall of Fame," saidADG leader Thomas A. Walsh. Boyle worked with several occasions with Alfred Hitchcock, first being an assistant art director forSaboteur(1942) and then like a full-fledged production designer forNorth by Northwest(1959),The Wild birds(1963), andMarnie(1964). Throughout the path of his career, Boyle received four Oscar nominations.In 1997 he received the ADG's Lifetime Achievement Award, and that he was presented an Honorary Academy Awardin 2007. Darling started his career at the begining of Hollywood creating quiet films as William Fox's supervisory art director and ongoing for the reason that role when Fox reorganized his company as Last Century Fox Galleries in 1933. He won Academy AwardsforCavalcade (1933), The Song of Bernadette (1943),andAnna and also the King of Siam (1946). He received four additional nominations. Junge continues to be credited with coming initially from the role of supervisory art director inside the British film industry from the nineteen thirties.
